1948 WEE WIND
This 1948 Wee Wind is one of the most desirable of all vintage Airstreams. The trailer was found in a small town about 45 mins away from my studio. It required an entire disassembly. These early Airstreams had a pipe frame which was structurally unsound. A new frame was fabricated and still appears original as there is a pipe visable in the rear. 80% of the exterior aluminum and 100% under is new. I fabricated a new interior with the same layout. I built this as a personal trailer. It was later sold to James Hetfield of Metallica. I’m confident that there is no finer Wee Wind.
